Marshall
Greetings from Webester! We are happy to say that Marshall is growing up big and getting into a lot of trouble but what could you expect from this little Brent?! He had a doctors appointment yesterday and was weighed in at 17 pounds which is a far cry from last months 13 pounds. We had to put him on formula because he weaned himself quite early and has gained 4 pounds since! Marshall knows the typical baby words and is full of squeals and yells. He is a real go-getter especially since he mastered the art of crawling. There is no keeping this boy still! We are very proud of the little personality he is developing, besides the typical spoils of every day life Marshall is generally a bubbly and affectionate young man winning over almost everyone he interacts with. He is not in the habit of playing shy and if you are happy to give him attention he is more than happy to take it from you! Other than that everyday life with him is a complete joy and we look forward to many more smiles and giggles!

MY FIRST
Rock Star Stuff
Here are some pictures for our young cousin Teegan, in Ontario. It's only a few pictures, as well, I think they have about 15 guitars now, between Dad, Davis & Logan...and it would be a little boring (maybe only for me?) to post pics of all of them! My Dad recently purchased an amazing and cool/different looking guitar (another Taylor, their fave), and somehow I missed getting a shot of that one. I'll have to bug my mom for it!
One of Logan's...no idea what it is, he'll have to comment with the descrip. (Logan's comment: It is a Fender Telecaster. This is the very first guitar I bought. If you come to visit Teegan, I'll show you the rest of my guitars :)
One of Davis'...again, no idea, but it is a bass...(the scoop: custom made Fender Precision 5 string bass. It is also Davis' first guitar. If you come to visit Teegan, I'll teach you how to play like Uncle Greg :)

Marshall Payton
Marshall's present from my mom when he was born, a Chicago Bears jersey, with his name on it, and 09, the year he was born. Soooo cute!
Kenna loving on her cousin
Cute smiles (Brent is feeding him). He LOVES food. He would yell at you if you didn't shovel it in fast enough. Brent is a good Daddy and takes care of his son well - I was personally amazed at how often he changed him, fed him, etc - is that the Brent we thought we knew? How fatherhood changes you!
Helping feed the baby. What a little mother.
He was perfecting his army crawl while we were there.

Mattea 6 months old
Here are some Mattea updates as she is now 6 months old! She is 20 lbs and is 28 inches tall. She is sitting up and making attempts to crawl (mostly unsuccessful so far!). She is very social and loves to talk nonstop and smile to anyone and everyone. She loves to say "dada", fake cough, fake laugh, and wave bye bye (yes we have quite the drama queen on our hands!). If told that she is a "good girl" she will grin and repeat whatever it was that initiated the praise. She loves bathtime and is quite good at picking up her toys with her feet and kicking them up and catching them with her hands! Daddy has high hopes for her baseball career:-) She is eating solids now and loves anything and everything! She is also quite the singer and will squeal along with the music in a very high pitched "Mariah Carey" type voice. All in all, she is a happy, fun loving little girl and we are totally in love with her!

Kaden's Update
Kaden is 16 and will be 17 in May. He is very outdoorsy and loves hunting, guns, etc. He is doing grades 11 & 12 this year in order to finish school early. He works part time/weekends at the Bottle Depot. He is in grade 8 piano, and plays the drums. He takes drum lessons from a professor at the college here, and is quite talented, and was asked to join the Grande Prairie Regional College Jazz Band, he is by far the youngest member the group has ever had! Everyone else is in the band 'for school' and Kaden is just in it for fun!
Davis' Update
Davis will be 21 in April. He works in the manufacturing shop at Peace Windows, and is the untitled assistant to the Manager of the shop. He plays the bass guitar and owns an impressive list - Fender Precision 6 string, a Thunderbird epiphone, and an acoustic Fender bass, he has a Fender Stratocaster (silver), a Taylor 6 string acoustic. He bought a brand new Mustang in 2009 and a Dodge Ram truck for the winters. He is the family's personal "movie rental store" owning TONS of movies, he keeps meticulously in alphabetical order:-) He severed his ACL and tore his MCL (knee injuries) playing soccer in 2009 and had to have surgery. He almost cut 3 fingers off, making something in the shop for Lehman, (requiring stitches), but he says that was his most painful injury. He loves to travel to SK and visit Jared & Liana. He is very handy and loves building things. He is also the only one in the family to have caught the H1N1 virus this past fall!
Logan's Update
Logan is 19 years old, and is currently in school to become a piano techinician (essentially a piano tuner and restoration person). He is a very talented and accomplished musician, he can play amazingly by ear. He plays the piano, and is in grade 10, and also doing piano harmony and theory. He plays the guitar and is also a good singer. His various musical goals include learning the bagpipes (claiming to want to play in his underwear with his socks pulled up to the knees - pictures, please, lol!), learn the banjo and the dobro. He works in the manufacturing shop at Peace Windows, but will be laid off this spring (slow season) and will finish the variety of musical training he has going on during that break. He owns a 12 string acoustic Taylor, 6 string acoustic Taylor, Fender Telecaster (natural wood), he has a custom made Taylor on order, he's waiting for that to arrive...and is saving for more (plus those bagpipes!). He enjoys writing and arranging music for himself, and his younger siblings.
Maryn's Update
Maryn is 10 years old and in grade 5. She is a dramatic storyteller! She plays piano (grade 1). She's a tomboy and loves bikes, the trampoline and anything hyper-active (according to Janessa:-), she likes the bush, but is scared of being eaten by a bear so she won't go alone. All her cats are dead/missing (coyotes are a problem!), but she loves pets. She loves Playmobil and is very protective of it and won't share:-)
Jillaine's Update
Jillaine is 13 years old, and in grade 8. She plays the harp (grade 4, with some higher levels -6 & 8- in certain areas too). She loves graphic design and is attempting to master a Photoshop program she got for her past birthday. She has a flair for crafts and art too. She is growing her crazy thick hair VERY long (& healthy) in hopes of selling it for some serious cash! She adores cats, but is allergic, which doesn't deter her at all. Tillman and Calamazoo are her precious cats:-) She is also allergic to everything with soy products in it, which means she has a hard time finding anything she can eat since soy is everywhere these days. She also has an impressive Playmobil collection too.
Lehman's Update
Lehman is 11 years old, but will be 12 in March. He is in grade 6, and his favourite subject is math. He plays the cello (grade 4). He claims not to have a hobby, but his sisters say watching Nature Movies (planet earth etc) and Playmobil consume all his time and attention. He "loves" to get beat up by his big brothers! He got a dog (a border collie/akita mix), Jake, for his 10th birthday. And he got his "dream playmobil set" this Christmas (a very large castle), which he claims was the best Christmas of all time.
Janessa's Update
While I am in AB, I thought I would post an update on each of the younger kids and what they are up to, along with pics or whatever I have.
Janessa is 15 years old. She will be getting her drivers permit this year! She takes violin lessons (grade 4), and in grade 9 with school. She loves kids and likes to babysit. She loves soccer, swimming, and still has an impressive Playmobil collection going on.
