ENGAGED!

To end 2011 on a sweet note, Davis proposed to Danielle on December 30th. He had planned an elaborate date day for the two of them. Danielle came to our house in the morning and they made Greek breakfast pitas for everyone. Then they went to the SK Science Centre to see the Titanic exhibit, followed by lunch at a little bistro. Following lunch, she took Davis to the RCMP museum as her surprise part of the date day. This was followed by shopping as Davis needed a coat, then they went for dinner at a lovely restaurant. After dinner, they went for a walk in downtown Regina under all the Christmas lights. In proper tradition, he got down on his knee on the cobblestone walkway and asked the question! Luckily, she said YES!

....minutes after
...still smiling the next day
...the beautiful ring! (Davis has amazing taste! says Danielle)

Fantasy Land

OK, it might be just fantasy NFL, but the lehmanater is a happy boy. He placed third in his first year of playing fantasy anything other than Playmobil. It especially felt good to beat out experienced Jared & Davis!

TV excitement!

Jillaine & Lehman were asked to play at the Conservatory's open house today. As they were tuning up, Global TV appeared and starting filming. Then they asked me to answer a few questions. Due to the bright light on their camera I said I wouldn't be able to, but that they could speak with Dave. They said, "No, we'll see if we can adjust the camera." Drat. They asked a lot of questions and filmed the kids playing several songs. It was edited down to this...

Then to top off the day, the actor who plays Fitzie in Corner Gas was also at the function. :)
Oh, the life of the rich and the famous! LOL

ADVENT: kennedyklan style

I decided to create an Advent tradition for the grandchildren to celebrate the coming of our Saviour.

If you would like full details of everything that is included in these numbered envelopes just take a hop on over to www.alwayssomethingcreative.blogsot.com

We trust we have a tradition to be enjoyed by all the grandkids for many years to come.

Getting creative with the Nativity

You look away for 1 minute and.....
