Marshall- 4 1/2

Marshall has grown up so much in the last few months.  He is recognizing the responsibility of being a big brother and takes this job very seriously.  He is very aware of danger's surrounding his little brother's and is quick to redirect them away from them.  In light of this he is getting very wise in his own eye's and feels it is his responsibility to boss them around .  Having said that, we are very appreciative of this little guy. He started Awana this fall and is a quick memorizer and it seems if he has memorized something, it sticks in his little head.  He is learning to write and loves reading.  We are starting small number addition and is quite fluent in his shapes and colours. He has a definite attention to detail and it is almost a little obsessive.  He is also beyond obsessive over anything that is technological including (and especially) the Wii, his learning tablet and any kinds of phones.  He is even more advanced than Brent in those kinds of things, often changing the language on his phone (when he isn't looking) and gladly changing it back from Chinese to English.  This is a problem in terms of getting him to talk about anything else but is also a good learning tool as he has learned many things including water being H2O and the processes of condensation and evaporation, problem solving, life cycles and practice of simple addition.  Such an intuitive little guy.  He has a terrible attitude and show's it in so many different ways.  He is also sneaky, currently losing the privilege of his tablet and the Wii for sneaking them into his bed and playing them at 5:00 in the morning.  Marshall love's babies and is forever asking me to "put one in my tummy so you (I) can go to the doctor and bring it home" (not pregnant ;) ).  All babies should be named either Mac, Ava or Jesser.  He is growing up so fast and it is hard to believe he will have blessed us with 5 whole years soon.

He couldn't wait long enough to put on a shirt before putting on his vest.

He's doing so well to be reading already! Way to go Marshall! (Cubbies vest funny - Grey is quite the opposite - he hates his vest, and refuses to wear it. I make him wear and he cries every week that it makes him look "not cool". No one has ever said that, and K&B love theirs! He just has a good sense of "dorky intuition" I guess!)
