Jordan's Wedding
We drove to Myrtle Beach last Thursday to attend Jordan Warriner's wedding. He is now married to Katie (Hamilton). It was lovely beach wedding and we had a good time with everyone. It was especially nice to meet and get to know Dave (Nicole's fiancee). The particulars of the wedding are...a friend of Katie's (Kate) was the maid of honour. Kyle Whitham was the best man. Grandpa Shantz and Katie's grandfather, John Hamilton married them. It was a really hot day, but not as bad as it could have been! Quite a few people traveled in for the wedding, including all of the Warriner family, the Dempster family, the Whitham family, and a lot of Hamilton's, which I did not know. There were almost 100 people there I think. We all got "lei'd" and a bottle of water with Jordan & Katie written on it (it was very cool). Kenna loves the leis, they are now part of her dress up collection. We are sad we have to miss Nicole's wedding in a few weeks in Ontario. It sounds like it will be beautiful.

We're Home!
We are finally back from New York...feels great to be home at last. We can't wait for Brian to come home now. Trevor & Caralyn decided to come to our place before Jordan's wedding, so they will be here Saturday, same as Brian. Then the next weekend we head to Myrtle Beach for the wedding. Seems like the crazy busy life never ends!

All Action Weekend
We had quite the crazy weekend.
We had some friends in on Friday night to kick things off then we were up early to watch Soccer on Saturday morning. When Soccer was over we went to Hillsdale Baptist for the church work day and left that with just enough time to do the grocery shopping then head straight back for our own soccer game. To top it all off we then spent the evening at another friends house and didn't get in until 1:30!
Sunday's pace was just as hectic, two services at two different churches, a church picnic, another soccer league match then off to yet another friends house for the evening.
I was looking forward to work on Monday just to get some rest and relaxation!

Group Hug
Everyone had to get up and say bye to Daddy before he leaves for work. Brian will be working for 2 weeks straight to try and finish the project (a B&B remodel). We are heading back to VA this weekend, so we won't see him for awhile:-(
Group hug! One of Kenna's favourite things to do...

Dave & Beccy
They teach youth group and organize soccer. Dave started a job with Peace Windows and bought a brand new truck.
Regina Rambling
Great idea Darla, hopefully we all do our best to contribute on a semi regular basis.
Unfortunately for the 16 members of our family that can read, I (Jared) will be the main contributor from Regina. Which means you'll almost never get pictures or decorating updates. This being the first post I'll make an exception and mention that we just finished painting our living room and kitchen. I would describe the colours as brown in the kitchen and not nearly as cream as was intended in the living room.
I have actually been quite busy lately between losing our clients a bucket load of money, avoiding home renovation projects (see above) and the race meet at Saratoga where I feel obliged to pick winners in every race for the 34.2 readers of my other blog.
In other news Mrs Keats is scheduled to land in Regina in 27 minutes. She'll be staying with us for a bit before joining a missions team that is coming to Healing Hearts. It's going to be a hectic weekend as also Liana works a pair of nightshifts and I'll be helping our best good friends Dominick and Melissa move.
Hopefully something interesting transpires, I need good material to write about on Monday :)

Davis
Davis is graduated now, and is working at the Bottle Depot in Sexsmith full time. He now manages the depot, as the owners wanted to have more time to themselves. So far he is enjoying the responsibility.
Brent
Brent bought a house in 2006 and has spent a lot of time completely remodeling it, but it's all done now and looks amazing. 2007 was a big year for him as he met Chantelle, who is now his fiancee!! They will get married on July 5th, 2008, in Grande Prairie. He also has a dog named Blue, he's a hound.

Living it up...in NY
Well, here we are in Greenville NY in 90+ degree weather with no a/c. I am eating freezee's at an alarming rate, and counting the days until we go home. It's been a fun trip, but we've been here almost a month now (Brian is working with his dad), and I feel like it's time to get home and back on our normal schedule. Because of the heat the kids are cranky and not sleeping well, that pretty much means I am cranky too! I am dreading the 9 hr drive home just a little. The ride up here could be described as torture...the first half was fine, the second half was not. Kenna is not one to sleep for hours on end in the car, she's good for about 1 hr, max, and then she has enough 'energy' to stay up for a LONG time. Brooks just doesn't quite get why no one is coming to rescue him despite his desperate pleas. Anyway, there are always plenty of pictures on my other blog, mostly featuring the kids. Things are going well in Virginia, despite sometimes feeling frusterated at the work around the house that still needs doing. Everything just takes so much money. And time. Anyway, I will have to post more when I have a few minutes. Off to consume more frozen sugar water and change a few diapers.
Welcome!
Well, this is the first post, and hopefully it turns out to be the first in a long line of posts from various family members. The blog archive can be used, but we will try to label each post as to who it's about, so you can get to each person by clicking the label of their name.
