Zoo pics

One of our favourite things to do, especially in the summer is to go to the zoo! We have a yearly pass which lets us go often, even if just for an hour or two. The kids love it, and as a passionate animal lover, I would have to say that I love seeing the animals just as much as they do:-)

Here are some pics from our first visit of the year (taken in May)

 On this first visit, the animals were particularly lively....and we had an experience we will never forget while visiting the cheetah enclosure. As the girls approached the glass to see, the cheetah ran up to the glass, slamming itself against the window snarling and growling at them! It stayed right up at the glass literally biting the window trying to get at the girls!!! Meanwhile as Mark and I are seriously wondering how strong this glass is, our girls are caressing the glass (where the cheetah's snarling head and gnashing teeth are!), and saying "awww he's so cute....look at those big teeth....he's so nice..." LOL!!! Afterwards our heart rates lowered, I asked Mark "Did you get that on camera?!" to which he replied, " NO! Did you?!" Lol...yeah I guess when you think a wild animal may possibly eat your children, it might not be the best time for a home video:-P

 Each time the girls go to the zoo, they make a list of the animals that they want to see. Kayla's list is comprised of one item. Tigers. She loves them and will watch them for forever!
