Making a pool room became a basement make-over

We had a room in the basement that was not finished when we bought the house. It is below the sunken family room and so the ceiling height isn't the greatest. The pool table would not fit in the other basement rooms so we decided to go ahead and finish this space. To keep as much ceiling height as possible we decided to paint. White or black? Black or white? White or black?

Not a nice task but looks good when finished. Pot lights were also installed.

Time to insulate and drywall.  When that was done we had the carpet installed. Since the carpet in the rest of the basement was old we moved everything into the new room so carpet could be laid in the rest of the basement.

Discovered this drawing when taking up the carpet at the bottom of the stairs.

The whole basement in one room.

We painted the rest of the basement. Carpet laid, trim installed and we were ready to move everything back. (This was Lehman's temporary sleeping quarters)
The music room

The play corner. (still need to cover the post)

Janessa, Vienna & Lehman putting together the pool table.

Dave & Lehman getting it all ready for the pool table guy to come to level the slate and lay the felt.

Any pics of the pool room all set up? I'd love to see it! That's a lot of work done since we were there in April!
